Tina Rowe intended to be an illustrator or printmaker when she started her foundation course in art and design, but she got sidetracked and she exited art education with a Praktika Super TL camera and not much else. She holds a BA and a Masters in completely unrelated subjects, but has also been an active and exhibiting photographer for nearly 30 years. Her interest in alternative photography started during a work placement in Leeds when she could not access a public darkroom. Tina mostly works with lith printing, cyanotype and emulsion. She recently completed a residency in Tartu, Estonia and has a solo show in Tallinn. She has also been exhibited in New York City, Singapore, Ecuador, London, Hamburg and Krakow.
